Trojan Offense Halted as Anderson Falls to No. 6 Wingate on Senior Day

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Anderson's men's lacrosse team fell 11-5 to No. 6 Wingate on Saturday, recording a season-low offensive resume. 

Hunter Klosterman (Cumming, Ga.) tallied 15 saves on the afternoon, and the Black and Gold won 14 of 19 faceoffs, totaled 41 ground balls and completed 12 of 13 successful clears. The Bulldogs outshot the Trojans 48 to 38 and only turned the ball over 15 times compared to AU's 25. 

Wingate opened the scoring on the afternoon with the only goal of the first quarter. The Trojans rebounded netting two quick in the second fifteen minutes, before the Bulldogs scored five unanswered to take a 6-3 lead into halftime. 

The third quarter saw a goal apiece for the two sides, followed by a final fifteen minutes with Wingate outscoring the Trojans 4-1 to secure an 11-5 result. 

The Trojans wrap up regular season away competition next Saturday (April13) against Mars Hill at 4:00 PM.
