GREENVILLE, S.C. – Paced by junior Jake Miller's 2-under-par 140, the Anderson University men's golf team is in 13th place following the first two rounds of the Southern Tide Intercollegiate Monday, which is being hosted at the 6,763 yard, par-71 Green Valley Country Club layout.
The two-day, 54-hole event, which is being co-hosted by Limestone and Coker, sees Lincoln Memorial leading second-place Coker by 13 shots following Monday's action. Queens is one shot further back in third, with Carson-Newman and Clayton State holding fourth and fifth, respectively. Limestone is sixth heading into Tuesday's final round, while Southern Wesleyan is in seventh place.
Flagler, King, Erskine, North Greenville, North Georgia, Anderson, Belmont Abbey and Limestone "B" round out the 15-team field.
Lincoln Memorial's Luke Harries leads the chase for individual medalist honors after carding a two-round, 8-under-par 134, while Carson-Newman's Tom Forster (135) and LMU's Dan Bradbury (135) are tied for second place, with Limestone's Filip Sandberg alone in fourth following a 5-under 137.
Miller is in a four-way tie for seventh, with sophomore Cal Brock sharing 51st place after carding a two-round 150. Fellow sophomore Colt Martin is alone in 60th place following a 10-over 152 and senior Grayson Bell (155) is tied for 64th place. Senior Hunter Parks rounded out the Trojan contingent in 70th place after carding a 158.
The final round on a 6,952 yard, par-72 layout is slated to get underway round on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
