Three Trojans Qualify for South Carolina Golf Association Amateur Championship

ANDERSON, S.C. – A trio of Anderson University men's golfers – rising sophomore Cal Brock and rising juniors Jake Miller and Brady Cox - qualified for the 87th South Carolina Golf Association (SCGA) Amateur Championship, with Brock taking home individual medalist honors Monday at the 6,867 yard, par 72 Cobb's Glen Country Club.

Brock fired a 5-under-par 67 en route to claiming the top spot, while Miller finished tied for second after carding a 2-under 70 on the day. Cox posted a 4-over 76 and tied for 15th place.

The 72-hole SCGA Amateur Championship is schedule for Aug. 2-5 at Dataw Island Club's Cotton Dike Course and will include the top golfers in the Palmetto State who have either qualified for their position or earned an exemption based on previous accomplishments. The list of former champions including Lucas Glover, DJ Trahan, and Bill Haas.
