AU's West African Ensemble to perform at the Women’s and Men’s Basketball Halftimes on Wednesday

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University West African Ensemble will perform at both the women's and men's basketball halftimes on Wednesday, February 13th at the Abney Athletic Center.

The West African Ensemble includes students from all majors who want to experience this diverse cultural tradition of drumming and dance. The AU West African Ensemble recently performed for over 750 audience members at the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in the Anderson Civic Center and has performed in local, state, regional, and national venues. The performance will feature the authentic rhythms from Guinea, West African. Everyone in attendance will be encouraged to clap along and cheer for students as they perform.

Both the women's and men's basketball teams will be playing South Atlantic Conference opponent Carson-Newman with tip-off beginning at 6 pm and 8 pm, respectively.
