Men's Basketball Ranked Sixth in Southeast Region

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson men's basketball team, off to its best start in school history, has been rewarded for its hard work by earning the sixth spot in the opening week of the NCAA Division II men's basketball regional rankings. The top 10 teams in the region are listed below and the rankings play an important role at the conclusion of the regular season, with the top eight teams in each region earning a trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Southeast Region is made up of the Conference Carolinas, the Peach Belt and the South Atlantic Conference. "It's great recognition for all the hard work, but we have a lot of basketball yet to be played," said Anderson head coach Jason Taylor. The Trojans (13-3, 7-3 Conference Carolinas) are currently in a tie for second place in the league standings with Barton and have won five straight and six of their last eight.
