Trojans Fall To Queens

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Chris Jones scored 17 points and Darnell Evans added 15 to lead Queens University of Charlotte to a 75-37 CVAC victory over Anderson University Thursday night. Queens improves to 9-3 overall and 5-0 in the CVAC, while Anderson drops to 2-9, 2-3. Queens limited Anderson to 22 percent from the field in the first half to take a 36-18. The Trojans never found any offensive rhythm as they shot just 18 percent in the second half to finish the game with a season-low 37 points. Jones also had a game-high 10 rebounds as Queens won the boards, 52-35. Queens outscored Anderson by 18 points at the free throw line. The Royals were 29-for-40 from the line, while Anderson was just 11-for-25. Queens averaged 1.12 points per possession. John Thompson added 11 points for Queens and Patrick Fox chipped in 10.
