Bell, Smith Lead Limestone Past Anderson

GAFFNEY, S.C. -- Terrell Smith scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Marq Bell tallied 11 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Limestone to a 63-42 victory over Anderson University in a CVAC game Thursday night. Limestone, which led 29-16 at the half, limited Anderson to 37 percent from the field. The Saints, 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the CVAC, shot 48 percent in the second half to finish the game at 42 percent. Kris Fudzinskas and John LeSueur led Anderson with 11 points apiece. Led by Williams and Smith, Limestone dominated the boards, 47-20. The Saints had 20 offensive rebounds. Limestone shot 22 more free throws and outscored Anderson by 14 points at the free throw line. The loss drops Anderson to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the CVAC. Anderson's home opener is Saturday at 2 p.m. against Belmont Abbey.
