BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Lees-McRae dominated the second half to beat Anderson University 63-42 in the CVAC opener for both teams Tuesday night at the Williams Gym. The Bobcats, who led 25-23 at the half, broke the game open early in the second half. Henry Williams led Lees-McRae with 18 points. D.J. Menifee added 12, and Aaron Dugger chipped in 11 for the Bobcats. Levi Ashworth was the lone Anderson player in double figures with 11. The Bobcats shot 50 percent in the second half (14-28) while limiting the Trojans to just 14 percent (4-28). Lees-McRae made 11 of 19 from behind the arc.
