AIKEN, S.C. - Lenior-Rhyne placed five players in double figures on its way to an 83-60 victory over Anderson University in the USC Aiken Classic Friday night. Lenior-Rhyne was led by Marcus Springs and Eric Mauldin with 14 points apiece. Josh Rudder and Donte Watson added 11 points apiece for the Bears, while Reggie Bratton chipped in 10. Springs and Rudder also had seven assists apiece. Anderson was led by J.R. Howell, who scored a game-high 20 points. Howell, a senior from Clemson, was 5-for-8 from behind the arc. Kris Fudzinskas added 16 points for the Trojans, 0-1. Lenior-Rhyne shot 64 percent in the first half on its way to a 53-30 halftime lead. The Bears finished the game at 54 percent. Anderson shot 56 percent in the first half and finished the game at 46 percent. Lenior-Rhyne had 32 rebounds to Anderson's 25.
