Baseball’s Dillon Carpenter Named AnMed Comeback Player of the Month

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University baseball's Dillon Carpenter has been named the AnMed Comeback Player of the Month for March.

Carpenter, a native of Charlotte, N.C. has missed 21 games during the season due to various injuries, but recently returned to the lineup full-time.

He leads the Trojans with his .437 batting average through 18 games – which would rank second in the South Atlantic Conference – and he also paces AU with his .690 slugging percentage and .506 on-base percentage. Despite his limited playing time, Carpenter has posted 10 extra-base hits in his 18 contests, which is tied for second on the team.

The first baseman/designated hitter is second on the team with 11 multi-hit games and has notched a pair of five-game hitting streaks on the season.

Each month, an Anderson University student-athlete is recognized as the AnMed Comeback Player of the Month for their work and perseverance to get back on the court or field through rehabilitation and treatment.

AnMed is the Official Healthcare Provider of the Trojans.
