DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Anderson University baseball team dropped a 7-2 midweek nonconference decision to ninth-ranked North Georgia, Tuesday night at Bob Stein Stadium.

Anderson fell to 12-23 with its eighth setback in nine outings, while North Georgia (24-9) improved to 16-5 at home with its eighth win in nine decisions.

Brandon Odachowski was 1-for-4 on the night with a seventh-inning home run and freshman Jack Fassino was 1-for-3, with a single. Will O'Brien added a third-inning double for the Trojans.

Junior left-hander Brent Reynolds (1-2) took the loss after surrendering five earned runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings of work on the mound. He fanned three Nighthawks and walked just one.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first inning, the Nighthawks posted a three-run second inning to claim an early lead before AU got on the scoreboard in the third inning when freshman Jack Fassino posted a one-out single, moved to third on Will O'Brien's double and crossed the plate when Will Lindsey bounced out to the right side.

North Georgia increased its lead to 5-1 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth, while Odachowski clubbed his fifth home run of the season with one out in the top of the seventh to pull the Trojans within 5-2. But the Nighthawks countered with two runs in the bottom of the seventh to round out the scoring.
