ROCK HILL, S.C. – Following a pair of stellar outing on the mound last weekend, Christian Carpenter has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday Morning.

Carpenter, a junior from Polkton, N.C., was perfect in his two appearances on the mound for the Trojans last week. The right-handed closer threw a perfect 2 1/3 innings, allowing no runs and no hits, with two strikeouts, while picking up two saves in a pair of opportunities against the King Tornado.
