ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University baseball team will play seven contests in 2018 against three teams that reached the NCAA Division II Tournament last season, as the Trojans released their schedule on Tuesday.
The Trojans earned back-to-back berths in the 2014 and 2015 South Atlantic Conference Tournaments and will be vying for their third appearance in the SAC Championship in five seasons.
Anderson's schedule features a nearly-balanced slate with 26 home contests and 24 games on the road, including 23 nonconference matchups to go along with the 27 SAC games. The schedule includes seven familiar opponents from Conference Carolinas, three Peach Belt Conference foes and a three-game set at Alabama-Huntsville from the Gulf South Conference.
Anderson opens the 2018 schedule with a five-game homestand, marking the seventh time in nine years that the Trojans have started the season in the friendly confines of Anderson Memorial Stadium.
