PEMBROKE, N.C. - The Anderson University Trojasn scored three
runs in the final two innings, including two in the ninth, to post
a 5-4 triumph over UNC Pembroke in the series finale Sunday
afternoon at Sammy Cox Field. Trent Still and Nick Easterlin posted
two hits a piece for the Trojans. Still homered and drove in three
runs. B.J. Smith also had a pair of RBI for the victorious Trojans.
Starter Blair Carson pitched 5 solid innings for Anderson. Justin
Rogers pitched 2 2/3 scorless innings for the Trojans. Cory Welch
(1-0) picked up the win for Anderson. Ryan Kirkman (0-1) took the
loss for the Hawks. Anderson (3-2) will be back in action again on
Tuesday when they travel to Gaffney to take on Limestone. First
pitch is set for 2pm. Box
