Trojans Split With Division I Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga. -- Jonathan Pitts had five hits in six trips and drove in four runs to lead Anderson University to a 17-7 victory over Division I Kennesaw State in the first game of a doubleheader at Stillwell Stadium Saturday afternoon. In nightcap, Anderson managed just one hit as Kennesaw State gained a split with a 14-0 victory. Anderson is now 8-15, while Kennesaw State stands at 6-7. Eight Anderson players had at least two hits in the first game as the Trojans collected 22 hits against five Kennesaw State pitchers. Tony Graham, who had three hits in five trips, also have four RBI in the first game. Pitts had two doubles and one homer, Blair Carson had a triple, and Cody Nye and Kyle Lewis had one double apiece for Anderson. The Trojans broke the game open with five runs in the fourth and seven runs in the fifth. The second game was all Kennesaw State as the Owls scored four runs in the first, three runs in the second, and three runs in the fourth.
