Scott DeCiantis

Scott DeCiantis joined the Trojan sports medicine team in August, 2019 after serving as the Associate Director for Sports Medicine at Erskine. During his tenure at Erskine, DeCiantis also taught athletic training courses during each semester since 2008, and served as Administrative Dean of the College from 2012-2016.

After earning a master’s degree in kinesiology and health promotion from the University of Kentucky in 2002, DeCiantis has worked as an athletic trainer, beginning when was employed by a physical therapy clinic to provide athletic training services to Aiken High School athletics.

DeCiantis was born in Rochester, N.Y., but has lived in South Carolina since 1993. He attended high school in Rock Hill, S.C., and earned a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from Erskine in 1999.

He currently resides in Anderson with his wife Tara, son Blaise (5), and twin girls Kellin and Callie (3). He enjoys being active and promoting a physically active lifestyle, reading, watching and discussing movies, and spending time with his family.
